Human Living Ministry ... originated from
"Living Human" all of my life! Additionally, it was birthed through years of writing, but more importantly - years of prayer.
I desire to gently walk across someone's heart and step away having left a positive, life-changing impact with the writing and poetry God provides through me for His glory.

OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF TAMMIE HUMAN BURGIN
Author and Writer

Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.
This is where I am right now. Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike. Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.
Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.
We are all human.

My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name! I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory. AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.

I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me. Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena. I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.

A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:

Proverbs 3:5, 6 -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

So, here I am. I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Welcome, my human friends! I look forward to this journey as it offers a place to be a unique part of the human family.

Let's gather together in this place of commonality ...as we all are ...living human./.

I will meet you here - at

I Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for May, Peter, became a very close friend to Jesus in addition to being one of His disciples.
Peter was a part of the inner circle with Jesus. Jesus brought them together with Him to places where He greatly trusted. One of these special sites was the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus invited the core friends to go further into the garden to pray with Him. Soon He would face betrayal, accusations, and death on the Cross.
However, just days before these events would occur - Jesus had a conversation with His disciples.
Matthew 26:31-35 NIV
31 Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:
“‘I will strike the shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’[a]
32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
33 Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.”
34 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”
35 But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.
After telling the disciples they all would fall because of Him, Peter declared he would not. Jesus predicted to Peter that before the rooster crowd twice - Peter would have denied Him three times. And he did.
(Matthew 26:69-74)
It happened just as Jesus said it would. Peter was devastated. Jesus was, too. It is distressing to be betrayed by someone so close to you. It is heartbreaking especially when you know they are and will continue to do so.
Peter found himself remembering the words of Jesus and wept mournfully - painfully.
Matthew 26:75 NIV
Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.
Peter and Jesus had a relationship that went beyond discipleship. Peter was a dear friend to Jesus. The devastation and loss experienced was incomprehensible. Yet, the betrayal wound went deep in these friends. After all - they both were human. Jesus - God - yes, but He was human and He felt the abrasion of unfaithfulness from someone so valued. While Peter knew the grief of disloyalty to his close friend and Lord.
There are so many amazing things about Jesus. His love and forgiveness are greater than we can comprehend. Here we’ve seen all that He was so willing to endure for our sins - for our salvation. Yet, there are human experiences we get glimpses of in His Word. If we discern enough - allow the Holy Spirit to enlighten us - we can understand the humanness, the friendships, the heart of Jesus as He lived out His life.
Something my precious dad shared with me years ago was the insurmountable compassion of Jesus toward Peter. It was a touching lesson my dad had learned for himself and passed on to me. In Mark 16:1-6 the women that had been alongside the disciples and Jesus went to His tomb. When they arrived, the stone had been removed. They were met by a man in all white who told them that Jesus was not there - He was alive! Jesus had risen- just as He said!
He told them not to be frightened and then He said this -
“But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.”
(Mark 16:7 NIV)
Through His angel Messenger, Jesus sent word to His disciples that He was alive! He specifically instructed that the news be communicated to his defeated friend, Peter. Oh, what a Savior!
Three Times Denial. Three Days Later “Go, and Tell …”
This message personalized to Peter breathed life into this dejected disciple. He who boldly proclaimed that he would not fall, he would not fail, he would not deny - did so and did so disastrously. Oh, there is no judgment here - for haven’t we each fallen short, dear Reader?
BUT GOD! Once again, we see Jesus offer more to this human with faults. Could it be that His ability to reach out is beyond what you and I can extend …or maybe even in some situations, are willing to? What a powerful point to ponder. Might we consider asking the Lord to search our hearts. Should we have an area where we need to give forgiveness - may we recognize it and do so. For Jesus showed us how, didn’t He?
A beautiful scene of love and forgiveness. A wonderful assurance of Jesus and restoration in relationship. A special story of friendship with Jesus.
If you need prayer, you can complete and submit a prayer request form at my Prayer Request page.
Should you want to know Jesus more or as your personal Savior, please see my Invitation and Prayer page.
You are welcome to contact me at thumanburgin@gmail.com for feedback, comments, questions. If it is your preference, you can also email your prayer requests to me.
We can be encouraged that as we enjoy a close friendship with our Lord - no matter our choices - His love and mercy are great and extended toward us. We need only receive Him and welcome Him into our hearts - our lives. Jesus is ready to not just be Savior of our souls, but the closest friend we have known, and ever will.
Three times denial …or more? Three days later and maybe less. Jesus will say, “Go and tell …” Jesus calls you by name, dear Reader, and wants you to know He is here and you are dear to Him.
Seek Him, friend, and let Him tell you how He loves you so!

Peter

A Disciple of Jesus
Matthew 4:18-20
The HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of May - Peter, A Disciple of Jesus.
Jesus was walking the beach and He saw two brothers. They were fishing, but He had other plans for them - He called to them, “Come, follow Me!” …And they did.
Matthew 4:18-20 NIV
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
Have you ever wondered what it was that Jesus observed when He saw two brothers? I surmise that He saw a close relationship, a work ethic, a commitment and strength, even a jovial friendship between the two. Jesus saw two brothers in a way we can imagine that He would.
These two brothers became the first of Jesus’s disciples. Then came the others, ten more to be exact. But these …He saw two brothers …and He called. What a story. Friend, I don’t know about you - but I want to be a human that as Jesus is along along, there is something about me outside and inside that causes Him to see me, then call me to, “Come, follow Me!”
We know that Peter was a fisherman. He was married, he was part of Jesus’s inner circle, and he was one that Jesus changed his name.
As we study Peter throughout May, you will find in each Weekly Theme and Blog something specific to Peter and Jesus.
The first week we read about Jesus seeing two brothers and calling them to be His Disciples. In following weeks, we will study such topics as -
-
The Faith To Walk On Water
-
Three Times Denied - Three Days Later “Go, and Tell…”
-
Upon This Rock …
Peter is a unique human with a lot of character. He was a faithful friend - until he wasn’t. But God …see the rest of the story in week three, Weekly Theme and Blog - Three Times Denied - Three Days Later “Go, and Tell …”
The contribution to sharing the Gospel was great for Peter. Although not a writer of one of the Gospels, he is a major part of the scriptures. He did author - by the leading of the Holy Spirit - three books that share his name.
As we go through this month and learn more about this HUMAN of the Bible Reflection, Peter, we will get a clearer awareness of Jesus and him. With this awareness, we will understand more the humanness of our Lord through this disciple relationship, as well as, valued friendship.
Getting to know Jesus on a deeper level through studying His disciples is the hope and purpose of HUMAN Living Ministry.
If you do not know Jesus as your Savior and you want to or you want more information - please see my Information and Prayer page.
Do you have a need? Can I pray with you? I invite you to my Prayer Request page. Here you can complete and submit a prayer request form. It will stay between you and me. Friend, I will pray with you.
You can also contact me at thumanburgin@gmail.com with questions, comments, or feedback. Should you prefer, you can email me your prayer request and I will pray with you.
Peter was an amazing human that carried out the mission of Jesus. His ministry was great and made a significant difference in the growth of the church. From my research, history shows that Peter died a martyr for the Gospel of Christ. It is recorded that Peter was crucified on a cross upside down for he didn’t regard himself worthy of dying the same death as Jesus - his Savior and close friend.
May’s HUMAN of the Bible - Peter, a Disciple of Jesus - also a fisherman, a husband, and a brother. We will learn much from Peter. I welcome you to go along with me on this journey. Let’s get to know Jesus better through this HUMAN of the Bible. May Jesus become your Savior if He isn’t already. If He is, may you grow closer with Him in friendship - is my prayer.
Seek Him, friend. Oh, how Jesus loves you so!
Dear Reader, thank you for stopping by …I’m so glad you did. You are welcome to stop anytime.
