Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.
This is where I am right now. Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike. Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.
Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.
We are all human.
My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name! I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory. AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.
I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me. Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena. I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.
A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:
Proverbs 3:5, 6 -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
So, here I am. I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Who Is Tammie Human Burgin?
Tammie Human Burgin is a writer –blessed to grow up in a Christian home –honored to be the granddaughter of a Pastor. She does not take for granted hearing the Name of Jesus before she even took her first breath.
SHE KNOWS –Luke 12:48 …to whom much is given much is required.
Her desire to extend the love, the knowledge, the Truth of Jesus is her mission –her ministry –for such a time as this.
The love and priority she has for her Savior, husband –Scott, sons –Tyler and Zachary and daughter-in-love –Katie, is the definition of who she is and what drives her.
She continues to minister in writing and in prayer what the Lord has done, who He is to her and how someone can know Jesus as their personal Savior.
It is her heart to share the love of God …to one …to all …FOR HIS GLORY!
There are times in our lives when it seems like we are in a desert. Whatever we pursue, whatever we choose, whatever we prioritize sometimes hits a brick wall. There are even seasons when it seems as though the Lord is quiet. It can be difficult and lonely, if we are honest.
Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for June- Ezekiel, A Major Prophet, had an encounter with Almighty God like no other.
Ezekiel 37:1-10 NIV
The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.
2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.
3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!
5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life.
6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.
8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath;prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’”
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
This is a very detailed and very deep experience Ezekiel had with the Lord. Yet, it addresses what this weekly blog began with in my opening. A desert, a brick wall, a silence all give a sense of a dry epoch each one of us has or will come to know on our journey. God led Ezekiel to the “valley of dry bones,” and asked him if they could live.
Dry bones? Are you in such a valley, friend? I’ll ask you the same- can the dry bones live? I encourage you to believe with me that they can. This passage of Scripture is amazing, dear Reader. It is so valuable to pause and reflect on these important verses.
God blesses us with this inspiration that He will restore what has been lost. Be uplifted in the knowledge that He will deliver us from the desert. He will walk us through that brick wall. He will speak directly to us for we have learned in the silence to hear His still, small voice. Yes, friend- our God will revive what has been dead and breathe life into it once again to be used according to His will by the power of the Holy Spirit all for the glory of Jesus in our lives. Oh, praise His holy name! May we be ever listening and obedient to His voice and His call. What a witness we can be to so many of His salvation and His goodness.
Romans 15:13 NIV
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I pray for you today that your hope is in the Lord. For wherever you are in your timeline, God is with you. Should you need restoration or be in need of it down the road- this Word of the Lord to our HUMAN of the Bible is for you, too! May you do what the Lord told this human- Ezekiel- to do, speak His Word! As you do, have faith in God. Watch and see who He will be to you and your needs. I am cheering you on, my friend!

A Major Prophet
The Book of Ezekiel
The HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of June is Ezekiel- A Major Prophet. In researching Ezekiel, I learned that he grew up in Jerusalem. He trained to be a priest to his generation. Ezekiel was a part of the second group taken captive under King Jehoiachin in Babylon.
I discovered in my study that “Prophet” is defined Biblically as a spokesman for God who delivers messages to humans. It gets its meaning from the Hebrew word, “nabi.” I found that nabi means, “one who announces or pours forth the declarations of God.”
During captivity, Ezekiel became a prophet of God. God had messages He wanted His people to know and He gave them to Ezekiel to communicate to them. Some of these messages from God were warnings, judgment, or rebuke. He still gives caution, alerts, and admonitions in our lifetime. BUT GOD …He always offers hope and guidance once understanding has been conveyed.
One of the ways the Lord spoke to Ezekiel was through visions. In the first chapter of the book that bears the name of this HUMAN of the Bible Reflection- we get the details and specifics of Ezekiel’s first vision from God. I encourage you to read this book of the Bible in June as we study and glean from this particular human. Begin now with chapter one and ask the Lord to give you insight as we study together.
From my inquiry, I discovered this first vision to include Ezekiel recognizing God and His glory. The heavenly scene includes a cloud, colors, chariot, cherubim, and collective command of communication- noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army- such as described below:

And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty,
the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

Ezekiel was obedient to God in captivity. He experienced magnificent encounters with God because he was available to listen and do what God asked of him. Friend, God only desires the same from us.

God loved His people then and He loves each one of us today. He desired for His people to have an awareness and an awakening of Him during the days of Ezekiel. They chose not to see or listen and they were taken into captivity. My prayer is that we delve into the Word of God this month of June and gather knowledge from the Lord from this major Prophet of God. These words penned by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection- Ezekiel, A Major Prophet, still apply to our lives and relationship with the Lord in our day.
May it be that we apply wisdom we learn from the Holy Spirit in our daily walk with God. I pray each of us can be a witness to our generation. May we not be held captive in the midst of deception, lies, misdirected narratives in our current times. Friend, my prayer is that we come to know Jesus greater than we imagined we could as we do a deep dive dig into God’s Word. May we glean incredible insights from our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection- Ezekiel, A Major Prophet. I pray for you, friend, that your connection with the Lord brings you so close to Him that you experience a Vision of God’s Glory, too! I pray dry bones live in your life once again. May you discern and even commit to be a Watchman in your world. Oh, dear irresponsible Shepherds- I pray you rise up responsibly and may we all recognize that God is the true Shepherd for us to follow.
