Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.
This is where I am right now. Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike. Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.
Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.
We are all human.
My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name! I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory. AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.
I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me. Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena. I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.
A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:
Proverbs 3:5, 6 -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
So, here I am. I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Who Is Tammie Human Burgin?
Tammie Human Burgin is a writer –blessed to grow up in a Christian home –honored to be the granddaughter of a Pastor. She does not take for granted hearing the Name of Jesus before she even took her first breath.
SHE KNOWS –Luke 12:48 …to whom much is given much is required.
Her desire to extend the love, the knowledge, the Truth of Jesus is her mission –her ministry –for such a time as this.
The love and priority she has for her Savior, husband –Scott, sons –Tyler and Zachary and daughter-in-love –Katie, is the definition of who she is and what drives her.
She continues to minister in writing and in prayer what the Lord has done, who He is to her and how someone can know Jesus as their personal Savior.
It is her heart to share the love of God …to one …to all …FOR HIS GLORY!
Zephaniah 3:17 KJV
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
This month we studied Zephaniah 3:17 - sentence by sentence as each Weekly Theme and Blog. Our final week’s focus catapults us into a realm with our amazing God that is indescribable, friend. The Lord your God will sing over you. Let’s just pause and be enveloped by those words.
Can you envision such a beautiful event with our precious Lord? Imagine …you are sleeping in the darkest and deepest of the night. You sense that you are singing. In that moment you think you are dreaming, but you recognize that the singing is coming from you. You slightly awaken and feel the singing is coming from within you. The singing you hear is your very spirit lifting praise to God. The stillness that overcomes you is beyond belief. Although your eyes are open, you understand that this is a spiritual experience. As you lay in bed, your singing quiets- and slowly silences. Suddenly what sounds like a choir begins to surround you. This is no ordinary choir you are hearing. Out of this extraordinary song advances a voice like no other. You know it, though. Yes, you know His voice. This voice is massive, majestic, yet mollifying and has met you many times. The masterful, masterpiece The Master of your soul ministers with the music He is making is majestic and miraculous. For you know Him! The realization occurs. Jesus Himself is in your midst …and He has brought a sound from Heaven directly to you! This is the Lord your God, friend, singing over you. AND IT IS BEYOND MARVELOUS!
I don’t know where you are in your walk with Jesus. What I desire to convey to you is this- He will reveal His singing and His songs to you wherever you are on your journey with Him.
Psalm 32:7 KJV
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
He only wants you to welcome Him into your life as your personal Savior and Lord. Further, enjoy a daily walk and talk of growing fellowship with Him.

In May, we learned that the Lord your God is with You. The Lord your God is mighty to save. The Lord your God will delight in you. The Lord your God will quiet you. Today, we are made aware that our God will sing over us. What a mighty God we serve. How He deserves our praise!
Isaiah 12:5 NIV
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.
When we lift up our voices and our hearts in worship, we give God what He deserves from us. He is worthy of all glory and honor. Our incredible God is interested in each one of us. He is in our midst during our life odyssey. He is mighty to save in trials and tribulations. He quiets us in our chaos and confusion. He has songs for our personal situation and will sing over us because He enjoys our relationship with Him. Can you grasp this astounding love Almighty God has for you?
I encourage you today- pause from the past, present, and prospective plans. Give your home a place for prayer. Give the background some worship music. Give God your focus, your heart, your praise. Watch what He will do in your connection with Him …in you.
Acts 16:25 KJV
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
This well-known Scripture encapsulates what else can happen when we sing praises to God. Especially during those occasions of despair, disappointment, and discouragement. The witness to others as we give worship to the Lord our God who sings over us is impactful beyond words. It may be powerful even in ways we won’t know until we are with Jesus in eternity. WOW! Won’t that be something to find out our testimony of Jesus blessed someone enough for them to run to Him, too? How awesome to serve our Lord and share Him with someone else-especially without knowing it.
Dear Reader, the Lord your God knows you by name. He created you as well as the plans He has for you. I pray you have been changed by this today.
The Lord your God will sing over you …and so much more. Walk with God from this moment on, friend. Be assured- Jesus loves you so!

Zephaniah
A Minor Prophet
The Book of Zephaniah
Zephaniah, A Minor Prophet- is our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of May.
Just like many other books of the Bible, Zephaniah bears the author’s name of his submission as led by the Holy Spirit. Zephaniah was bold, courageous, and direct in his writings. In my studies of this obedient human, I learned how he knew he was hearing from God. Zephaniah began his book with these words-
Zephaniah 1:1 NIV
The word of the Lord that came to Zephaniah…
He shared words the Lord spoke to him to give to Israel, to their enemies, to the nations- even to us today.
Did you know that Zephaniah means, “defended by God?” I’m not sure what you think- but that is awesome to me. Our individual name does not have to have that very meaning. When we have surrendered to God, repented of our sins, and asked Jesus to be our Savior- we are defended by Him, too! Isn’t that amazing? We live in a world where some humans feel the need to protect themselves. That is fine- go ahead. I tell you- I am thankful to have a loving God who wants to protect me, enjoy me, sing over me! Not because I’m someone important- but because I am human and need to be loved. Who doesn’t?! There is a level beyond humanity that we all need fulfilled- that ONLY ALMIGHTY GOD CAN FILL! Yes, what a gift and what a treasure it is to have my incredible husband, amazing sons, and beautiful daughter-in-love. Yet, we each experience places that only our Father God- only our Savior Jesus- only our Comforter the Holy Spirit can meet.
This HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for May- Zephaniah, gives us specific alerts to be aware of- as well as- encouraging promises to receive. Friend, it is a personal and individual decision to do so. My prayer is that you take time to read about this human, Zephaniah, here at HUMAN Living Ministry. Also, read the Book of Zephaniah in the Old Testament of your Bible. You will be blessed.
