Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.
This is where I am right now. Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike. Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.
Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.
We are all human.
My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name! I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory. AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.
I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me. Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena. I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.
A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:
Proverbs 3:5, 6 -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
So, here I am. I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Who Is Tammie Human Burgin?
Tammie Human Burgin is a writer –blessed to grow up in a Christian home –honored to be the granddaughter of a Pastor. She does not take for granted hearing the Name of Jesus before she even took her first breath.
SHE KNOWS –Luke 12:48 …to whom much is given much is required.
Her desire to extend the love, the knowledge, the Truth of Jesus is her mission –her ministry –for such a time as this.
The love and priority she has for her Savior, husband –Scott, sons –Tyler and Zachary and daughter-in-love –Katie, is the definition of who she is and what drives her.
She continues to minister in writing and in prayer what the Lord has done, who He is to her and how someone can know Jesus as their personal Savior.
It is her heart to share the love of God …to one …to all …FOR HIS GLORY!
This is our final Weekly Theme and Blog for August. Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection- Joel, A Minor Prophet, was used by God to pray, intercede, and prophecy to His people. These prophetic messages of God and other experiences of this human as used by God were recorded in the Bible. The Book of Joel written by Joel as inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The Lord spoke to His people through Joel with a message that He is God, to return to Him- repent. He would repay what was lost or stolen. He would pour out His Spirit, even in the last days. He would judge. Oh, friend- each of these messages are for us today!
How I pray that you know our Lord IS God. If you haven’t repented and received Jesus as your Savior- my prayer is you do so today. Receive that He will repay what was lost. Be a part of the outpouring of His Holy Spirit, friend. I pray for you- I want you to understand that He will judge.
In my research regarding The Judgment of God referenced in Joel 3-
Joel 3:1-2 NIV
1 [a]“In those days and at that time,
when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will gather all nations
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.[b]
There I will put them on trial
for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel,
because they scattered my people among the nations
and divided up my land.
God will judge the nations. God will judge those who did not repent. God will judge anyone who rejected Him. There is a continuing reference throughout the Bible called, “The Day of the Lord.” There are various interpretations to the meaning of this phrase. Some of the Scriptures include-

We briefly discussed in last week’s Weekly Theme and Blog what the return of Jesus is called. It is, The Rapture. The word rapture is not found in Scripture, but “caught up” or “caught away,” which have the Latin meaning, to be raptured, is found in God’s Word.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18 NIV
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.
14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again,and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lordforever.
18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
I Corinthians 15:51-52 NIV
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—
52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
I believe The Day of the Lord is The Rapture with the Tribulation that follows. As the Lord instructs me, I will share more on these very important events.
John 14:3 KJV
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Matthew 24:44 NIV
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Matthew 24:21 ESV
For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
This is not a scare tactic. This is God’s Truth I am telling you. I want nothing more than for all of us to know Jesus now- to live each day walking and taking with Him, and enjoy a daily fellowship with Him through prayer and Bible Study. Friend, I pray that each of us know Him, recognize His voice- seek Him, hear Him, and obey Him. Above all- I want each of us to be watching, waiting, and ready for His return in The Rapture. The only way to do so is to do as Joel implored in his writing- return to God through repentance.

The Judgment of God will occur. It is for those who reject God- who do not repent of their sins and receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Dear Reader- I am asking you this moment to make the most important decision of your life- of your eternal existence- pray a simple pray to our amazing God.
“Heavenly Father, I come to you- I repent of my sins right now. I ask you, Jesus, to be my Savior. I ask you to show me your love, your wisdom, your direction for me as I surrender all to you- as I commit to follow you Almighty God. Holy Spirit please lead me from this moment on in my Heavenly Father’s perfect will for all of my days. Thank you, Jesus, for being Lord of my life today and forevermore. I pray in Jesus’s mighty name. Amen!”
If you prayed this prayer- when you pray this prayer- my friend, you are instantly a part of THE FAMILY OF GOD! You are a DAUGHTER OF GOD or a SON OF GOD! Praise the Lord! Let us keep our eyes on Jesus and seek Him daily. He will return and we want to be ready. I pray for each of us to understand John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus is everything, dear Reader! He paid it all for us to know Him as Savior and Lord. Pray and seek Him every day. Read your Bible, study it, know Jesus and what He did just for you! He is faithful to be in your life and reveal His plans for you as you receive Him as Lord and enjoy a wonderful relationship with Him.
My prayer is that we grow in our relationship with our amazing Jesus and share Him with others …so the world may know. The Judgment of God will happen. Before it does, let us be ready to meet Jesus and take as many humans to Heaven with us.

A Minor Prophet
The Book of Joel
This month’s study is from another small book in the Bible. Another book that bears the human’s name of whom we will learn from. Another minor prophet that has a major impact. Joel, A Minor Prophet, is the HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of August.
Have you ever wondered what your name means? Did you find out the special definition of the names you chose for your children? The Hebrew names we see in the Bible have such impactful and profound meanings. THE LORD IS GOD is the meaning of Joel- our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for August. My research showed that “Joel” is from Hebrew origin. Joel is translated from the Hebrew words Yah and El, combined. Yah is a shorter version of Yahweh. Biblically it means the God of the Israelites. While the name El means God. Thus, THE LORD IS GOD is the magnificent definition of the Prophet, Joel.
As we study this human in the month of August, we will learn the message of God’s heart through him to His people included return to Him, as well as, His plan to repay what was lost.
Before we end August, we will have a deeper understanding of God and His judgment. This is not something to avoid, dear Reader. On the contrary- we have an opportunity to glean information about how to know God more, be a part of an outpouring of His Spirit and presence, and be equipped to have knowledge of what is to come and share Jesus and His message with others, as we also grow in our walk with our God
