Due Diligence

What is before you?  What is going on around you?   Who is your go-to?

Common questions …at one time.  These days - I’m not sure if “common” is even recognized in any form or fashion.   How many of us had influential people in our lives?  These relationships offered wisdom and guidance in many of life’s challenges.  It is incumbent upon our generation to do the same in the times in which we live.

Those before us did not have all the answers. Absolutely not.  However, there was something that existed with them that we need to tap into.  This would be …due diligence.

What is due diligence you ask?  Of course, we know this phrase to be used with the law and in business. Additionally, it is applicable for life.  Due diligence is doing your research, taking the right steps, doing your part to be properly and reasonably informed as to avert a potentially negative outcome.

As the adults in the room during this period of life’s cycle - we need to study, research and evaluate all that we can to be immersed in wisdom today.  Prayer is the key to common sense.  Knowledge and understanding is essential in decisions we make in our home and with what is presented to us.

I pray for each of us as we have an individual, as well as, collective assignment.  May we come together and do our due diligence before we share half of a story, part of a truth, portions of information that leads to deception and deceit.  We are accountable for details - complete or partial - that we communicate with others.

May our hearts have the right intent for those around us.  May we only desire God’s best for our neighbors - those who are friends and foes. May it be a realization that it is our responsibility to pray God’s blessings over our families. Much of this begins with prayer and doing our due diligence.

Let us once again reach back to the tools used by those before us.  Wisdom, knowledge, understanding and prayer - all a result of doing our own due diligence.

I am happy to pray with you, if you would like me to. Please submit a completed prayer request form on my Prayer Request page.  If you would like more information on receiving Jesus as your Savior, I invite you to visit my Invitation and Prayer page.  You are welcome to contact me at thumanburgin@gmail.com with comments or questions.

I pray the Lord be with you, dear Reader.

Numbers 6:24-26
24 “The Lord bless you
    and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
    and give you peace.”

Oh, how Jesus loves you so!
