In the Waiting

We bring our petitions and requests to the Throne of God in prayer.

As we leave them with Him, believing for the answer, sometimes there is a delay …a waiting period …for His provision. During the waiting, we can run to Him and His peace or live in panic and fear. In the waiting, we can find rest. In the waiting, there is opportunity for teaching and preparation.

God allows delay - at precise times in our lives - due to His strategic timing. His plan is best, it is just not always the way we want. Although, what He desires the most during the designated waiting is that we trust Him.

Trust …complete surrender …knowing God has a perfect will for us. Be assured the Lord has known the plans He has for each person since the moment He created us. The specified waiting period is no surprise to Him.

In the waiting …may we seek Him for His understanding. May we ask Him to see with His eyes. May we allow Him to teach us. May we …in what can be an incredibly difficult and potentially long pause in our path …do the one thing God needs from us. May we humbly, willfully, and restfully TRUST the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Once He delivers us, we can look back over our shoulder and see the details in the delay. Our eyes will clearly see the whys. The lesson we so willingly learned will give us insight for days to come. No matter the longevity of the season - as we have trusted Him, the outcome will make us better for all He has for us.

He knows the plans He has for you and His timing is perfect.

Keep your heart turned to God along the way and you will see His hand …during and after the delay.
