Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to each Reader that holds this prestigious honor. It is a very special day.
Today is a day set aside to show gratitude to the one who nurtured us, cried with us, held us, cheered for us and prayed with us. Today we bestow this stature of strength, this example of love, this model of Christ, this greatness of sacrifice with cards, gifts and a special dinner. Our maternal figure in life is given place of distinction and recognition on this particular day. What a celebration for her!
I honor my own Mom, but from afar, as we are in different states today. It is not ideal, since I grew up with this triumphant gala surrounded by family at the table after church. I do not have the luxury of being with my sons on this day for the same reason. However, in spite of not being together on this particular and honorable day - my family has a blessing that I hope you, dear Reader, can relate to. We enjoy the moments, elevate the minutes, value the member of each of our family - when we're together, as we have through the years.
This day is set aside - absolutely - to honor the dear, first woman in our lives, our Mothers. How often do we extend this respect, excitement, joy, observance, esteem - in the mundane of our daily, regular, routine lives? How prudent it would be to praise, proclaim and revere our moms ...each other ...such as this ...every day! The blessing and unity that can exude from this lifestyle would benefit each of us.
Proverbs 31:28 states - "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her."
I pray each of you know this today - it is my heart, as well.
Where it is difficult, where you have loss, where you find it unimaginable - I encourage you to turn to Jesus. He is with you, He will comfort you and He will show you the way.
May today be a very special Mother's Day for you - wherever you are and whoever you share it with. Know that you are honored, set apart, praised and loved. Thankfulness is overflowing for each Mother today, and everyday!
Jesus loves you so.
Happy Mother's Day!

Love it!
