That First Christmas in Heaven!

Did you lose a loved-one during this year?  Have you considered that this will be their first Christmas in Heaven, friend?  For those that have had loss of family and friends through the years, did you wonder what that first Christmas in Heaven was like for them?

 

My family and I, too, have experienced a loss this year. Losing a dear loved-one is hard to talk about, put into words and express for some - I understand.  My heart is heavy for all with a loss no matter when it occurred and for those who have endured this sorrow even this year. 

 

Our loved-one was very special and had a close relationship with each of us in our family. 

 

For me, this precious loved-one and I talked about everything you can think of, but one thing we forgot to discuss was ...how do we live without him once he is happy in Heaven?

 

How do I go on each day without knowing he is here to love me, pray for me, and give me godly wisdom …we just didn’t talk about that. 

Now I’m here …without him. 

 

I know of course I have Jesus and He is my everything.  I am blessed with my beautiful family, wonderful friends …and I am thankful.  This particular loved-one knew me better because I knew him so well. We were amazingly alike. 

 

We just didn’t talk about what I would do …without him. 

 

I’ll continue to seek the Lord. Walk and talk with God in the cool of the day. Pray for everyone by name. I’ll remember our life-changing, life-impacting, life-treasuring conversations and I will ponder them in my heart. I will laugh at our jokes and things we would think are funny. I will continue for him as his family member - as he would want me to - respectfully, lovingly, and gratefully!

 

I will go on - figuring it out - as he is in Heaven until I see him again …in Heaven ...with our Savior, our family, and all of the puppies we loved so very much. 

 

We didn’t discuss how to live life without him …but he taught me enough about how to live …with him. As much as I miss him and will as long as I live - I will breathe one breath at a time knowing he is a part of my Great Cloud of Witnesses and knowing he is and always will be …a part of me❤

 

I miss this powerful, strong, godly, wise, humorous, loving loved-one of mine and will love him …always.  I simply say to him, Thank You - thank you for everything!

 

This season can be the best for recognizing our Lord and can be the most difficult as we remember those no longer with us.  For some, we have a loved-one that this is their first Christmas in Heaven. My prayer is for you who are experiencing all of these feels right now.  I pray the power of focusing on Jesus will warm your soul and you can truly enjoy the memories of those passed on. Jesus will satisfy and provide your every need …only joy in Him and His birth …then see what He will do in and for you!  

 

Especially in His birthday month - see the miraculous and be assured, dear Reader, Jesus loves you so!
