When “I’m Sorry” Never Comes

I get it …there are times when the “I’m Sorry” never makes its way to you. Through the disappointment and pain, we often wait for something to give. When it doesn’t, the anguish and even confusion can grow deeper.

Though it doesn’t come, it is incumbent upon us to seek the Lord for His guidance and help. It is His will and command for us to forgive.

Matthew 18:21-22 -

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”

Ephesians 4:31-32 -

31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

The Lord is willing to help with the power of the Holy Spirit as your Comforter and Guide. Keep asking for His wisdom and He will give it to you. Time may pass without clarity and the hurt possibly doesn’t subside, BUT GOD - He will be with you as you welcome Him. Even if all you can do is whisper His name …be assured …He is as close as that very whisper of His name.

If you’ve given the apology and things still have not changed, I encourage you, dear Reader - reach out one more time.

Isaiah 1:18 -

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Sometimes - as you continue to seek God, you might just have to accept the relationship for what it is. Trust God with them and you. He will lead you and give you peace when you’ve done all you know to do.

Relationships are important and some are difficult to navigate. Your walk with God is not in that category, dear Reader. He is always there, always approachable, always available, always willing to hear your heart, your cry, your prayers. When you take the time to love on God in worship and praise, you will find His presence will consume you and comfort you more than the overwhelming confusion that has left you in need of His healing.

So the “I’m Sorry” hasn’t come …the “YOU ARE WHO I SAY YOU ARE” did!

John 1:12-13 -

12 To all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave authority to become children of God,

13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

God sees you and cares for you. He is with you greater than you know. You are a Child of God!

I get it, my friend, and so does Jesus! Let Him show you how amazing He created you to be beyond the “I’m Sorry’s” of life.

Be amazing today - for Him! Jesus loves you so.
