Wisdom...

During a Bible Study I did recently, I read and considered the following in Job.

Job 28:28

And He said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”

Additionally, these Scriptures compliment what is stated in Job 28:28.

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 3:4 “Get wisdom, get understanding.”

What I gleaned from these Scriptures is that we have the opportunity to seek God for wisdom and ask Him for understanding in our daily lives. As we desire to know God more and seek Him, He will graciously impart His wisdom to us and give us understanding- all for His glory!

I know that it is very difficult to understand the why in certain situations, especially when we know God is able. However, as painful as it is- as we seek Him, ask Him questions, talk to Him, share our requests before Him- even in the silence and waiting- He will bring something good from it.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Even if it is that we know Him more. I’ve learned that I don’t hide how I feel with God. He and I are in a relationship- sometimes that means I’m upset, hurt or disappointed. Nevertheless, when my walk with Him turns into running to Him- He is there. I’ve found- He was already running toward me.

He is there in the good and not so good- and somehow- if I let Him, He will be glorified in what wrecked me.

I understand this is a learning process. Let Him teach you as you seek Him, as you seek His wisdom and understanding. Wherever you are in life …He is right there waiting to meet you!

What a mighty God we serve and how I want to know Him more. I am very thankful for Him today.
